Today is Friday, May 16. My oldest sisters birthday. She will always be 10 years older than me but for some reason as she gets older, so do I. Crazy, I know. I'm 25. I just don't think its appropriate for me to tell you how old she is. I will leave that up to her on her blog. She probably is the only one thats going to read this anyways.
10 years is a long time when you are younger. But as you age, 10 years is not really that much. That reminds me of my grandma! I remember the time when my wife Steph, her twin sister Stacy, her husband Karsten, me, my Grandma Hutson, and her sister Aunt Esther were all riding in Steph's car to go eat at Chili's. The whole time we were in the car we laughed so hard. I don't remember ever laughing so hard. They just kept going on and on at each other. My grandma would say "Do you all know how old she is? She's almost 80. 10 years older than me." And then Esther would come back with "Do you know that she is wearing a wig. Thats not her real hair." They went back and forth at each other for the whole time we were driving. It was too funny.
10 years is a long time but when I'm 65 my sister will be 75. I will still be reminding her that she is sooo old even then because I'll be 10 years younger. I doubt I will be wearing a wig, but you never know.

Blogging
This is my first blog. I am not a real blogger type person, like my sister and brother-in-law and even my nephew Cool Luke, but I thought I would give it a try. I love reading their blogs and thought why not give it a try for myself. I doubt anyone will read it anyways so it will just give me an opportunity to vent and basically be like a dear diary but for grown-ups. That is weird I know but I'm cool with it.
A little about me: I have a beautiful wife named Stephanie that is so persistent in everything she does, including putting up with me. She is a full-time student at Wichita State in the dental hygiene program. She studies all the time and has only got one or two B's in her whole time in college, and still has all the time in the world for me. She is really smart, a lot smarterer than me! She is now considered a senior but has one more year left in the program before she becomes a full fledged dental hygienist and starts rakin in the dough. Yeah i'm excited. She is awesome.
Right now I am the teacher (loosely called a teacher, more like babysitter of high school kids) of the alternative suspension room for at-risk kids at Northwest High School in Wichita, KS. Basically all I do is sit in this 10x20 room for 8 hours a day and tell kids to be quiet, keep your head up and quit sleeping, and keep working on your homework. But the only reason I do it is because it pays the bills so I can also be the assistant men's basketball coach at Friends University. That is my real love. I love basketball and I love coaching. I love seeing the transformation of players from when they come in as freshman until they graduate. The 4 or 5 or perhaps even 6 years of college are so transformational that it is amazing. I also like winning! Hey that is why they keep score. I am also finishing my masters degree in sports management at Wichita State. I have finished all of my classes and all I have left is an internship and I am going to do that by coaching at Friends. Sweet. So I will be a Master in December!
I have two older sisters who both now live in or really close to Wichita and are both within 30 miles. They both moved here about a year ago, one from Plano and the other from Colorado Springs. It is awesome because of the age gap between us (one is 10 years older and the other is 5 years older) I really haven't been able to get to know them and it is an awesome opportunity now that they are so close. They both have really great families. I get to spend a lot more time with my 5 going on 6 nieces and nephews.
My mom and dad are also moving back to Wichita in a couple of months. They have lived in Leavenworth and moved there after I graduated from high school (Hugoton High School class of 2001). That is really exciting. It is amazing to me how smart parents get when you get older. I think that is one of lifes greatest mysteries! I guess they must have some kind of transformation when you get to be about 22-25
Well that was way too much and much more than anyone wanted to read. So I can guarantee that my next posts won't be so long. If you have survived this long and read all the way to here, you probably need to get a new hobby or you must think I'm really cool.
